Paula Gardner

Paula Gardner, founder of Do Your Own PR

Over a decade ago I led a glamorous showbiz life. I worked for a number of PR agencies that handled musicians and groups like George Michael and Bananarama, restaurants like Bill Wyman's Sticky Fingers, along with video and film companies. It was in that glam world that I cut my teeth in PR.

Do Your Own PR now teaches businesses of all sizes how to use PR to create interest, keep up with and surpass the competition and generally move up to the next level.

Do Your Own PR has worked with a large range of businesses which include classic to high fashion, life coaches, restaurants, bars, hotels, management consultants, recruitment agencies, property investment companies, business groups, life coaches, solicitors, accountants, computer software trainers, hypnotherapists, aromatherapists, independent financial advisors, web designers, authors, artists, dental and cosmetic surgery practices, and jewellers.

As well as offering PR training and coaching we also offer business coaching for PR and marketing company owners, or wannabee owners, via Divine Publicity (www.divinepublicity.com).

Paula's Gardner's article in business magazine The Sharp Edge can be found here and a piece on networking can be found on www.topenterprise.co.uk can be found here. There is a Max PC/Internet Works profile of Do Your Own PR here.

Paula is also an expert contributor to www.ezinearticles.com, has a regular diary spot on www.fashioncapital.co.uk and has been featured in Eve magazine, She, Woman and Home, Women in Rural Enterprise magazine, Massage World, and is the editor of www.chicklit.co.uk. She also coaches writers and would be writers through www.divineandcontent.com.

Our Values

The Do Your Own PR values are passion, frankness, creativity and personal service.

Passion - first and foremost we are passionate about we can do for you and make it our job to identify your own passion so that we can show you how to communicate that to the press.
Frankness - if you or your business are just not ready for critical press scrutiny then we won't advise embarking on a press and PR campaign until you can really deliver the goods.
Creativity - our ideas on how you can promote your business and keep coming up with fresh new angles for the press is one of our main strengths.
Personal Service - this is not a one size fits all service and you won't get a consultation, strategy document or PR training that is the same as the one we did for someone else last week. We look at your goals, your current position, your strengths and weaknesses and show you how to work with them.

Amanda now works with me on PR ecourses, adding another objective viewpoint, and using her own experience of coaching and running her own business to add value for clients.
